Every cruise, you live and die by one thing:
Your room key. It’s your cabin access, your onboard charge card, your ID, it’s basically your cruise lifeline.
And after trying the standard clear plastic sleeves and punched-hole cards… we found something way better.
The Hole Punch Problem
When they punch a hole through the card, the card weakens, it can crack and snap right at the hole. At best this leaves you standing at Guest Services trying to get a replacement. At worst this leaves you on the gangway in St Kitts trying to convince security to help you get back on the ship wihtout your card. Not ideal.
These holders are solid, way easier to use. No hole punching required, the card slides in and out easily, no issue tapping or swiping at your door lock with it. It's always visible and more more durable than the soft plastic sleeves. The clear plastic sleeves we found will melt off the ink when you're in the sun with them, these don't. You don’t have to peel open a sticky plastic flap every time you need to hand it over, it just slides out with a slight bending of the card.
It’s one of those small upgrades that just makes the whole cruise smoother.
